Michael is a Senior Transportation Engineer at Harbourside Transportation Consultants. Michael is a graduate of Acadia University and Dalhousie University with experience in civil/ transportation engineering and transportation planning. He is experienced in geometric design, particularly of roadway corridors, traffic signals, and roundabouts.  Michael possesses multi-discipline expertise in a broad range of fields, including geometric design and transportation planning, traffic engineering, active transportation, municipal engineering, road design, and stakeholder consultation. He also currently serves as the Chair of the Provincial Committee for Consulting Engineers Nova Scotia.

Kevin has been involved with the design and drafting of transportation/ civil projects since 1994. His responsibilities include geometric design, digital terrain modeling, production of contract documents, and quantity calculations, primarily using Civil 3D design software. Kevin has been the lead designer on a variety of transportation projects, specifically:

• Roundabouts
• Highway interchanges
• Highways
• Signalized intersections
• Business park and industrial park road networks
• Parking lots
• Site grading
• Bridge approaches

Florence is a graduate of the UNB Transportation Program and has since developed experience in transportation engineering and traffic operations. Her project works have been primarily focused on traffic operations studies, traffic signal equipment reviews, traffic impact studies, travel demand modeling and analysis, life cycle cost analysis, traffic data collection, and active transportation. Florence is proficient in the use of various software packages including Synchro/SimTraffic, PTV Vistro, PTV Vissim, Arcady, and HCS 2010. 

Brad is a MUN graduate and Professional Engineer experienced in the fields of civil engineering, transportation engineering, and project management by working on various projects across Canada. Upon graduation, Brad accepted a position with Astaldi Canada and then went to work with the Municipal Group of Companies in 2016.  He remained with the Municipal Group of Companies until joining Harbourside Transportation Consultants (HTC) in July 2017. From 2014 to 2016 Mr. Reinhard worked with Astaldi Canada in Muskrat Falls, NL. During this time Brad worked as a Technical Engineer for the construction of the intake, powerhouse, spillway, and transition dams for the Muskrat Falls Hydroelectric Dam.

Mark is a professional engineer and MUN graduate with varied experience in Municipal Engineering, Hydrology, Traffic Operations, Transportation Planning, Research & Development, as well as Power Generation/Transmission and telecommunications.  Having acquired valuable design skills as the Engineer in Responsible Charge of a small civil consulting firm and after spending 12+ years working in various roles with municipal governments, Mark has returned to the consulting industry with a unique perspective on the design, review, and approvals process for small and larger-scale projects.  With exposure to and experience in dealing with every facet of the project process from conception through to completion, Mark’s unique blend of experience and his passion for sharing knowledge with clients make him a valuable asset to any project. Mark currently serves as the President of ACEC-NL.

Mr. Hayward is a Civil/ AutoCad Technologist/ Designer in the land development industry. Upon his graduation from Memorial University, Mr. Hayward moved to Ontario to start his career. During his time in Ontario, Mr. Hayward worked for firms such as Stantec Consulting and later, Cole Engineering group as a Civil Technologist. Mr. Hayward gained much experience in the civil Engineering industry with land development procedures, submissions, design, and approval processes. Preparing construction drawings and documents for residential and commercial development; including grading, storm and sanitary sewers, water mains, stormwater management facilities, road cross-sections, and plan and profile drawings. Along with performing earthworks (cut/fill), quantity calculations, as well as completing quantity take-offs for tender purposes. His responsibilities include the geometric design of roads and intersections (stop-controlled, and signalized), sanitary, stormwater, and water main design, digital terrain modeling, as well as production of contract documents and quantity calculations, primarily using Civil 3D.

Cory is a senior CAD Technologist experienced in civil, architectural, structural, and process piping drafting using the latest AutoCAD software. Mr. Baker has been responsible for producing detailed drawings required for various projects, including water, sewer, and road improvements; commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings; water treatment facilities; and structural supports for industrial-type structures. Cory is well versed in the use of Civil 3D software to produce terrain models, contours, profiles, cross-sections, and volumes from gathered survey information.
